Meet our Founders

Meet the Ed Lab team, creating designs you can build on

Alan Thomas

Alan founded Electro Design Lab to innovate and explore ideas in ways he hadn’t previously had the opportunity to. What began as a one-man venture quickly grew into a thriving business, and before long Tom joined the journey, forming the dynamic duo at the heart of Ed Lab.

With decades of experience in electrical design, Alan brings a wealth of technical knowledge and a natural talent for problem solving. He particularly enjoys taking complex technical challenges and turning them into clear, practical designs that work in the real world.

Tom Moore

Tom joined Electro Design Lab shortly after it was founded and has been a key part of our journey ever since. With a strong background in technology and project delivery, he brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to the work we do. Toms calm, methodical style helps keep projects moving forward.

Together with Alan, Tom is the other half of the Ed Lab team, and the two work closely to drive projects, solve technical challenges, and shape the direction of the company. Their complementary skills and shared enthusiasm for building great technology make them an exceptionally strong partnership.
